Multipoint Lock Centre Cases

Multipoint Lock Centre Cases, also referred to as gearboxes, are an alternative to replacing the whole of your multipoint lock.

Many multipoint locks have removable centre cases which are easy to replace.

Cases are available from a variety of manufacturers and most are offered in several backset options.

Cases are not interchangeable between styles so it is important to ensure the correct case is identified and selected accordingly.

Please refer to the images and dimensional drawings to assist in selecting your replacement.

Some other considerations are whether the lock has a single or twin spindle, bolt type - hook or dead, and the dimension between the cylinder position & the spindle.

Note many older multipoint locks were not fitted with replaceable cases, the case being swaged on during the manufacturing process rather than fitted with screws.
