Ball Bearing Hinges

We provide a large selection of high-quality ball bearing hinges in a variety of hard-wearing finishes. Finishes range from antique brass and imitation bronze to smooth and polished stainless steel, and are usually composed of steel or stainless steel. For those with more refined preferences, other finishes are available.

Ball bearing (or ball race) hinges have grown in popularity during the last decade. So much so that our ball bearing hinges, the most popular of which are our 100mm x 76mm (4") and 76mm x 50mm (3") sizes, account for the majority of our hinge sales.

What Are Their Functions?
When compared to un-washered and non-bearing hinges, the hinge pivots on a series of small ball race bearings, offering a significantly smoother motion. They've generally passed endurance testing and fire door tests, allowing them to be used on both residential and commercial fire doors.
